Are you living in or near Astoria, tired of having to go see your cross borough friends all the time who think Astoria is on another planet, and looking to make new friends & meet people right in the neighborhood? We're hosting our next event, the November Social- a free social where 90% of people come solo and leave with new friends in the neighborhood. Come meet your fellow Astorians and join us for an awesome time on Wednesday, November 20th at 7pm at Katch in Astoria! Attendance is free, just show up. This is your chance to: -->Meet friendly faces from your neighborhood --> Expand your social circle effortlessly --> Make connections that can last a lifetime See you there! Feel free to share with friends. The more the merrier! FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: *What is this event? This is a social that is a friendly and fun for all people living in or close to Astoria that are either new to the area or want to expand their circle locally and meet cool people. *How does it work? Just show up, and at the door, you'll be given a nametag where you'll add your name and something funny/interesting about yourself. Anyone with a nametag is approachable, and the funny/interesting topic makes breaking the ice easy. You never know what you'll find on someone else's nametag that will excite you or you can relate to! *Should I come alone? Yes! In fact, the great majority of people come alone. This event is designed for people to meet new people & connect in a friendly environment. You are welcome (and encouraged) to come alone, you never know what amazing new connections are waiting for you. *Should I bring a friend ? Yes, of course. The more, the merrier. *What's the vibe like? The vibe is usually chill and positive. Everyone's super friendly and approachable, since everyone comes with the purpose of connection. If you're looking to make new connections, you won't find an easier way. *What's the atmosphere like? It's a well lit friendly bar atmosphere with good space to flow between groups and good background music, perfect for conversing and getting to know other people. *Where do I find you guys? Just show up to Katch and we'll be there to greet you. *How many people show up? Usually around 60-100 people show up. In the end, one new amazing connection can change your life, whether meeting them from a big group or small! *Do I have to live in Astoria to attend?
