Join us for a powerful sensory deprivation breathwork experience within the Temazcal—a traditional indigenous Mexican sweat lodge.
Somatic healer and breathwork facilitator, Courtney Forcefield, will lead us on a profound journey of breath, amplified by the healing properties of a crystal and copper-infused temazcal. This experience will bring about powerful release and transformation.
We welcome all called to the medicine to offer prayers for all relations in the womb portal, the “temazcal.” Bring your lovely self, your great energy, your prayers, and what you wish to release!
We will bring in a few hot volcanic stones (light heat warmth 80’-90’) into the temazcal during the breath work session and poor purified prayed over water infused with sage, rosemary, lavender, sweet grass, and other powerful herbs 🌿 to detox and open up the respiratory system powerfully for deeper healing. All of this while we close the door to the temazcal for a sensory deprivation Breathwork experience like nothing you’ve experienced before!

PREPARATION: A Temazcal is a traditional Mezo-American steam bath with roots in pre-Hispanic indigenous cultures, particularly among the Aztecs and Mayans. The term "temazcal" is derived from the Nahuatl words "temāz" (vapors/steam) and "calli" (house), meaning "house of vapors/steam." These sweat lodges were used for various purposes, including healing, spiritual purification, and community rituals. Volcanic stones, the Abuelitas (Grandmothers), are heated in the Grandfather Fire and then placed inside the Temazcal. Throughout the ceremony, they are doused by water infused with herbs to create steam. The ritual often includes chants, prayers, guided meditations, or breath work led by a temazcalero (the water pourer).
