Join us at an intimate brunch for women in AI, featuring an insightful talk by Brooke Hopkins!
What can we learn from simulating autonomous vehicles to build robust, reliable AI agents?
Brooke is the founder of Coval (YC S24), an evaluation platform for AI agents. She previously was the tech lead for the evaluation infrastructure team at Waymo building dev tooling to run tests.
She saw Waymo go from the early days of a robot navigating chaotic SF streets, to the rider-only deployment of Waymo with surreal human-like fitness. This is a feat of reliability engineering as the AI is non-deterministic, there are infinite scenarios to test, and quality driving is subjective. Large-scale automated simulation instead of manual testing unlocked robust, reliable improvements to the Waymo driver. Brooke engineered core pieces of these simulation systems.
Brooke will talk through the history of testing in autonomous vehicles, the parallels with AI today, and learnings of how to build reliable and robust AI agents.
Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy brunch with a fellow cohort of women and learn from an industry trailblazer!
