Join us in Prospect Park to write poems together! Being outdoors, observing nature, playing with form… ⁄⁄⁄ What WORLDS might we capture in words? ⁄⁄⁄ Scents and sensations? Private moments? Pockets of color? ‡‡‡ What SHAPES might these poems take? ‡‡‡ Page? Wiki? Document? Website? Canvas? Multimedia assemblage? We're testing Leaflet, and we've added some new features we think will be fun for poetic expressivity. But you can use whatever tools / mediums! We'll explore: - Sonnets as a fun and fruitful default constraining form… - Poems that are of a very particular time and place… - Injecting digital docs with a certain HTML energy… Bring a laptop, notebook, or just your phone. Publishing completed poems is encouraged, but not required. Let's plan to meet near the Picnic House (convenient for snacks, bathrooms, and picnic tables).
