We’ve navigated the crowds, the trash, the rent, the rats. The dates. The prices. The families we’re trying to raise here. The friends we’ve made. The unhinged experiences we’ve survived. We love it, we hate it, sometimes all at once. Either way, New York is no joke—and we all have stories about it.
So here’s a space to share yours.
If you are a writer or stand-up comedian, a professional or a student, a baker, a biker, a teacher, a mother – I don’t care. Whether it’s a rant or a love letter, joyful or furious, come read or come listen. Let’s see what happens when we gather around the one thing we all have in common: this wild, ridiculous, beautiful city. The only intention behind this night is to do what the city sometimes makes hard—build a little community.
