ProjectArt invites you to the opening reception of Storytelling in Stitches and Shapes featuring new works by Kathryn Shriver and Doretha Murray and their students from Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh locations, Allegheny and Squirrel Hill. Developed through ProjectArt’s library-based residency program, the exhibition highlights parallel practices in teaching and making. Please join us to view the work and celebrate the conclusion of this year’s residency. ProjectArt is a national award-winning arts education nonprofit that partners with public libraries to provide free, afterschool art classes for underserved youth while supporting practicing artists through residencies. Opening Reception Sunday May 18th, 2:00-5:00PM at the Irma Freeman Center for Imagination.
