Get Ready for the Orchid Show! On May 2nd, the Miami Beach Orchid Society is hosting an official American Orchid Society Show! That means you—yes, members and the public—can bring your orchids to our pre-festival celebration and have them judged by accredited AOS judges for a chance to win some fabulous prizes. Are your orchids ready for the spotlight? To help you prepare, our April 23rd meeting will feature three South Florida orchid powerhouses: Sandi Block Bresner – AOS-accredited judge from the West Palm Beach Judging Center Jan Amador – Former president and long-time show chair of the Flamingo Gardens Orchid Society Lucy Matos – Current president of the Flamingo Gardens Orchid Society and orchid aficionado These incredible women will guide you through how to get your orchids show-ready! We encourage all members to bring their blooming or (almost blooming) orchids to this meeting for hands-on advice. Can’t bring your plants? No problem—photos work too! The entire meeting will focus on demystifying the show and judging process so you can feel confident entering your orchids and maybe even taking home a ribbon! We can't wait to see you there—and your fabulous flowers too!
