We are partnering with Tallboy, one of our favorite Oakland gathering spaces, to fundraise for 'this is my body', a Bay-Area based storytelling and performance program for women of color. Tallboy will be launching a special drink on 2/1 and a portion of the profits will go directly to supporting the sustainability and accessibility of the program.
Note: The drink will be available through February and March and look out for a special event in March at Tallboy!
About this is my body:
'This is my body' is an experience designed for women of color to reclaim their narratives and take up space and own their truths. In the wake of #MeToo and other critical conversations on how women navigate this world, storytelling has been a powerful vessel for resistance, empowerment, and healing. The cohort-based program takes participants through writing and performance workshops to support the development of an original piece that is performed for a community audience.
