Come meet Abigail Hing Wen, A New York Times and National Bestselling Author that has been a trailblazer in law, tech, and film! She is the executive producer of the film "Love in Taipei", which was adapted from her book trilogy “Loveboat, Taipei,” and is taking time in the middle of her book tour to stop by Princeton!
As a proud daughter of immigrants, Abigail started her education at Harvard and later Columbia Law School. From there, she began her career serving as a law clerk on Capitol Hill. But the world of law was just the beginning. Venturing into Silicon Valley, Abigail made her mark in both venture capital and AI, hosting conversations with luminaries like Andrew Ng and Yann LeCun on her podcast "Intel on AI." She turned her side hustle of storytelling into her main gig with her NYT best-selling book trilogy and film “Love in Taipei!”
The story follows the journey of a character named Ever Wong, whose parents sent her from Ohio to Taipei to study Mandarin for the summer. To her parents, this is a strict language and cultural training program, but to most teenagers it’s the infamous Love Boat where there are no rules.
Abigail's career path has been truly unique, going from a conventional to unconventional path. Whether you’re interested in law, tech, writing, or filmmaking, you will definitely learn a lot from her. Abigail will be at Princeton amidst her book tour, ready to meet you, offer signed copies of her books, and also give away Paramount Plus subscriptions! There will be free boba and some other surprise guests at the event :)
You definitely do not want to miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet and be inspired by Abigail Hing Wen. Mark your calendars, bring your friends, and join us!
