We are so excited to welcome you to evening of poetry, artwork and community, in collaboration between Off The Page and Gallery Wrightwood.
The opening night will be an open house to explore the artwork and poetry installed around this 100 year old church building, as well as meet the artists and poets and connect with others who resonate with this theme. An interactive instillation will be running during the night that guests will be encouraged to engage with, and artists will be present to discuss their works.
Admission is free, and all are welcome. Those who find the programming meaningful and have means will have an opportunity to donate (digitally or with cash) to future programming. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase. This show is family friendly.
Though the art show and program is being hosted through and in a progressive Christian church, the artwork is not necessarily pro-Christian, the show does not have a goal to promote the Christian faith, and we work to welcome all diverse voices and perspectives that amplify values of care and love.
The space is wheelchair accessible, and 3 gender neutral bathrooms are available, but the bathroom are not ADA. There will be 2 air filters running in the space and masks are provided at the door, but not mandated.
Casey, the Artist-in-Residence at the church St. Luke’s Lutheran Church of Logan Square, is coordinating and curating this show. Please reach out to them if you have questions about this project! (caseyvstelstudio@gmail.com)
