Surviving (And Maybe Even Enjoying) The Holidays

We’re told the holidays are the happiest time of the year – but for many of us, they’re also the most stressful. Between family dynamics, endless to-do lists, and the pressure to make everything meaningful, it’s easy to end up overwhelmed, exhausted, and quietly wondering why it doesn’t feel better. This workshop is designed for the high achievers, the caretakers, and the overthinkers who want this season to feel a little lighter. Together, we’ll normalize the stress that comes with the holidays – and then share simple, evidence-based tools to help you navigate it with more ease. You’ll learn how to: Identify your personal expectations and stressors for the holidays – and release the “second-layer stress” of judging yourself for feeling them. Use a Worry Jar and a 1-5 emotional regulation scale to manage overwhelm in real time. Define a “doable scorecard” for your holiday season – what success actually looks like for you. Choose one small, meaningful thing that’s just for you this season. By the end, you’ll leave with concrete strategies for when things get overwhelming – and a grounded, realistic plan for navigating the holidays with more calm, intention, and maybe even enjoyment. And don’t worry if you can’t make it live! A replay will be available to everyone who registers. Meet your hosts Margaret Wang, LMFT, is a Harvard-educated therapist who specializes in helping women and high achievers manage anxiety, perfectionism, and burnout using evidence-based therapeutic tools. Pooja Venkatraman, MBA, is a Harvard-educated executive coach and former BCG consultant who helps high-achieving professionals reduce stress, find clarity, and build careers that feel as good on the inside as they look on the outside.
