❛ᴗ❛^⎵^°ᴗ°˜◡˜MoHo LIC is partnering with The LUNAR Collective and Base UWS to host an epic Pre-Shavuot Open Mic Night!
Never been to an open mic night before? Come prepared with one of the following:
- stand up comedy
- sing a song (accompanist provided, but please bring sheet music!)
- a TedTalk / Powerpoint presentation on your favorite topic
- an art piece that you've created
- play from a musical instrument of your choice
- a written poem / essay you want to read from
- interpretive dance
Get creative with your expression! The point is to share your story, so that others can learn. This is the spirit of Shavuot, and we will make space to discuss the meaning of this awesome Jewish holiday.
Traditionally, during this holiday, many stay up all night to learn and study Torah, fueled by coffee and dairy goods. We won’t be up alllll night, but we’ll be celebrating creativity, Jewish heritage, and cheesecake!
