Anyone who wants to walk in the parade and help represent the furry scene is more than welcome to join us for the parade! Please be sure to join the announcements chat as we roll out information related to parade information, parking, lodging, and any additional information! We can't wait to party with you and kick off Cincinnati Pride weekend harder than it ever has! Restrictions: All ages, anyone under 18 must have parental/guardian supervision For parade itinerary and announcements: https://t.me/FlapNYap We're so excited for Cincinnati's Pride Parade this year and to be able to take part as Flap-N-Yap! Everyone is welcome to participate, but YOU MUST read and follow these instructions as posted by Cincinnati Pride Parade Cincinnati Pride Parade Instructions Summary: Hello everyone, it's parade week! We received a ton of information from Cincinnati Pride Parade and we're going to help simplify all the information they sent! We will send all information over to everyone, but here is the main scheduling information to know for now: -Arrive to 7th & Central between 10:15 - 10:45 am (anyone who enters before and after will be removed by the festival) -Do not enter the street until Cincinnati Pride volunteers have finished staging vehicles -You must tell volunteers you are Entry Group Number 73 in the Purple Lane -We will take a group photo at the BEGINNING of the parade! -the end of the parade lets out right at the festival in Smale Park. There are no plans after the parade for a group meetup, so feel free to enjoy the festival or head home! -Rain or shine, the parade still goes on! As of right now it is forecasted 50% chance storms but it has changed every single day. -WHAT YOU BRING IS WHAT YOU CARRY! There is zero storage space in the vehicle or the trailer. When the parade ends, you will not be able to return to the vehicle. -Wear comfortable shoes. The parade is 2+ miles long and that doesn't include the walk back to your vehicle afterwards! In regards to parking in downtown for the event, Cincinnati Pride doesn't have any recommendations as this event is large and highly attended! If you want a good parking spot, you have to show up early to downtown. Unfortunately, we are unable to get much guidance on this from the organization. We heavily encourage the buddy system with downtown and parking! Coordinate with a trusted friend to park in the same areas so you are able to travel together. If you plan to Fursuit: KNOW YOUR LIMITS! -We heavily recommend to not wear a full suit! It will be heat index above 100 F! -The parade route is just under 2 miles long, the parade will not stop and we were strongly told the parade is to not stop. -Remember that when the parade is done, there is no space to immediately de-suit! -If you need to leave the parade at any point, please feel free to do so! You will not be able to re-enter if you do leave. DO NOT ENGAGE POLICY Cincinnati Pride has a non-engagement policy. If there are protestors, ignore them. They are seeking attention and want to record videos to get clicks. Do not give them what they want. If protestors become disruptive, please notify the parade marshals or local authorities, and let us address the situation. Do not purchase items or engage with mobile pride vendor carts. These vendors are not involved with the parade and should not be engaged with. Safety See something say something. Contact safety@cincinnatipride.org or notify a parade marshal or Cincinnati Pride Volunteer. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask! Plan accordingly, as downtown will be very difficult to navigate with the higher crowds and road closures. What is/isn't allowed? -All participants are heavily encouraged to bring water! -Alcohol is not permitted at any time -Animals are not permitted in the parade -When on the parade route, you're always welcome to take photos with attendees. However, do not stop to take photos if you are falling behind the group! - Flap-N-Yap specific: Participants are welcome to wear kink gear, such as puphoods, harnesses, and leather, but must ensure their attire is appropriate for a public-facing parade by covering genital areas, buttocks, and breasts. General information: -We will take a group photo at pre-staging when the parade begins! -When the parade has ended, you are welcome to break away and go enjoy the festival! -If you are able to help be a fursuit handler, we will need all the help we can get! We are once again so excited to be able to have our return appearance in Cincinnati's Pride Parade and we want to show Cincinnati how large the furry scene is! If you have any questions at all, be sure to ask @blazenthedragon and we can't wait to see everyone this year!
