Join us during Chicago Exhibition Weekend for an evening happy hour with the Chicago chapter of Black Girls in Art Spaces and view cam.contemporarie's current exhibition, Revisionist History, featuring the artwork of Providence based artist, Tyanna J. Buie. Revisionist History features works appropriated and reappropriated from 17th Century Dutch engraved portraits of political leaders. In collaboration with ChatGPT, their history and stories are rewritten and reimagined as a triumphant narrative that considers the irreparable geographical and socio ecological ramifications of colonialism. About cam.contemporarie cam.contemporarie is a contemporary art space that operates as a showroom, exhibition space, and project-based studio that seeks to support the practice and growth of emerging and mid-career visual artists. cam.contemporarie is located inside of Mana Contemporary, a creative hub located in Chicago's bustling Pilsen neighborhood on the 9th floor in studio #920 and was founded by independent curator and cultural producer, Ciera Alyse McKissick.
