Merienda For Los Angeles
Many of us in the community know people who have recently lost their homes due to the recent fires in the Palisades and Altadena/ Pasadena/ Los Angeles, California area.
Several individuals from the PDX Filipino Community have assembled a charity Merienda (mid-day snack) event this week for those who want to come together in community to eat and donate to help in relief efforts.
Join us on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025 from 4PM to 7PM for Merienda for Los Angeles.
There will be food and drinks available for purchase, and all the proceeds will be donated to the @daylaborernetwork (NDLON) and @mypnasc (Philippine Nurses Association of Southern California).
The funds being donated to @daylaborernetwork are to support Immigrant workers impacted by the Los Angeles Fires, and @mypnasc donations are to support the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, American Red Cross, and the Pasadena Humane Society.
Free to attend. Just RSVP so we have a headcount.
