Come celebrate the impending turn of the season by finding a new home or second life for things you aren’t wearing or using! We’ll share the address a few days before the event. Stop by anytime from 1-4 PM for our: SWAP EVENT Clothing Guidelines: - Clothes should be clean (if you don’t have time to wash it, don’t bring it!) and in good condition. - You can take as many items as you’d like, but please bring no more than ten items to swap. Unclaimed items will be taken to Georgia Ave Thrift or sent to fabric recycling. Craft Supplies & Books: - Make sure these are usable and in a condition you would be happy to receive. Unclaimed craft supplies will be taken to Merry Pin and books will be put in Little Free Libraries in our neighborhood. Please refer to Merry Pin’s creative reuse program page (linked above) for information on craft supplies to bring. DYE DAY Have a clothing item you would be happy to wear if it only was a different color? We’ll be facilitating the dying of 2-3 tubs of All Purpose Rit Dye in our backyard and craft sink in the basement! All Purpose Rit Dye can be used with cottons, wool, nylons, and other natural fibers—if you aren’t sure whether your clothing item will take the dye we’re using, please reach out. ACCESSIBILITY - This event is outside in our backyard. - Steps/stairs access: There are two steps up to use one of the side gates into our yard, the other side has none. To use our bathroom, you will need to go down a set of five stairs into our basement. - We will have water and bug spray available! - There will be a variety of seating options but limited shaded areas in our yard.
