You are invited to a benefit concert + art auction to fundraise for "Live in Lod", sponsored by makeartnotwar.org & Standing Together LA.
LIL is a grassroots organization which promotes stability within the city of Lod. Lod is a mixed and segregated city of Jewish, Palestinian, Arab, Christian and Israeli residents. Live in Lod fosters unity amongst various, often conflicting communities within the city.
Since the end of the war a few days ago, there has been much work to do toward reconciliation. LIL invests in art education programs, supports local artists, and fosters youth enrichment through mentorship by connecting local initiatives on the ground, through an intersectional, shared platform.
We are organizing this fundraising event to mirror their work, as well as to illuminate the power of art as medicine.
Come, have a drink, and enjoy the music! All proceeds are donated towards the costs of our vital work in Lod.
