Let's find some wonder! And hold space for grief.
We're gonna play with one of the ideas in the "Practice" section of the linked post. Bring a blanket or yoga mat to lay on and, if you're up for it, your favorite quotes from The Overstory, Braiding Sweetgrass, or similar to read aloud (DM me if you've got a quote but you're not sure it fits, or if you want to read something but need suggestions). There will be a Quaker-meeting-inspired portion of the event followed by a part where we just look at the clouds/tree tops/stars/moon together and tell each other what patterns we see, like we did when we were kids.
The structured part of this event will last 30-45 minutes. Then... eat, drink, chit-chat? Bring snacks & drinks to share?
This will be the second full moon of August which means it's called a BLUE moon. It's also gonna be SUPER (so it'll be imperceptibly closer than all those other full moons). It's the third and final full moon of summer.
