Big Fat Beach Day

ATTENTION: LOCATION CHANGE! We are moving Big Fat Beach Day to Alameda Beach due to unsafe water quality in Marina Lagoon. We apologize for the last minute change and we hope everyone can still make it. Please update your RSVPs so we know if you can still come. NEW LOCATION: Alameda Beach across from 300 Coral Reef Rd. You’ll see a large green house across the street from the beach. Parking: Street Parking available on Shoreline and neighboring side streets. Enter the beach on the pathway across from 300 Coral Reef Rd. Restrooms: There are public beach restrooms located 0.1 mile flat walk at Shoreline and Grand. There is a flat walking path alongside the road. Alameda Beach is mostly flat and the beach is close to the main road. We will send out a text blast tomorrow with any additional details of how to find us. *************************** Angelina and Kat (@Fiercefatfemme and @big_thick_energy_ ) are joining forces with Fat People Hiking Bay Area (@fat_people_hiking_bayarea) and Fat Brunch (@fat_brunch) and other rad fatties for a day of swimming, floating, and basking in the joy of fat community! This is a free event! RSVP so we know you are coming and so you can receive day-of text updates. Fatties and fat-positive friends of all sizes, shapes, genders, and ages are welcome to join. Please be sure that you and any friends you bring refrain from all diet talk and negative body talk. Bring your own water, snacks, sunscreen, floats, etc. We will take a group photo around 2pm! There will be no lifeguard on duty. COVID PRECAUTIONS: Please take a COVID test before attending, and do not attend if you have symptoms of COVID or if you have been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive in the 5 days prior. Please have a photo or screenshot of your negative test in case we ask you to show it. Masks are not required, but are encouraged, especially when in close proximity to others. As a community, let's plan to spread out and practice asking consent before coming within ~6 feet of someone, especially if you are unmasked.
