ABOUT THE EVENT: We follow a simple equation: Featured Songwriters + Audience Choir + Backing Band = MAGICAL MUSICAL JOURNEY Songwriters bring us the tender fruits of their labor: songs! YOU, the amazing audience choir, will learn a bit of the song and sing & improvise along, guided by the inimitable spirited Milly Roberts. Nate Shaffer directs the house band — a maximally supportive cohort of improvising instrumentalists — supporting the magic every half step and whole step of the way. After a 6 month hiatus, we're stoked to be back at our favorite community music venue, the Lilypad in Cambridge. The Soirée celebrates music, community, and the spirit of play in a unique and majestic way. Come for the fun, appreciate the artistry, and stay for the delightful community.
