Many of you know that Chicago is in the midst of a housing crisis. Rents have skyrocketed and there is not enough low income and affordable housing available. The crisis that is ongoing has been taken to a whole new level with thousands of refugees and asylum seekers being sent to Chicago. LPPC began housing asylum seekers 4 years ago and we are currently housing a family of four. The situation is dire in the city with migrant families being housed on the floor in police districts. There are more than 700 people living in police districts across the city.
They help their families and families across Chicago with obtaining work authorization, finding jobs, getting apartments, paying rent, groceries, and so many other things we might take for granted.
100% of proceeds will go back to fuding asyulm seeking families.
