November hike time!
The official November Trailhead Gays hike is going to be in Reinhart Redwood Regional Park.
It's been a while, so we'll do a hike over in East Bay.
We'll meet at Canyon Meadow Staging Area (linked above).
We'll take the West Ridge and East Ridge Loop trail.
Location: Redwood Regional Park, Oakland, CA
Distance: ~7.5 miles
Elevation gain: ~1,200 ft
Difficulty: Moderate
Estimated time: 2.5–3.5 hours
Overview:
This loop connects two beautiful ridgelines in the East Bay hills — West Ridge Trail and East Ridge Trail — forming a wide circuit through redwood groves, open ridges, and shaded canyon paths. You’ll start with sweeping Bay views, then drop into the quiet redwood forest before climbing back up to panoramic ridgelines.

Skyline Gate Staging Area (most popular start)
Redwood Bowl or Canyon Meadow (alternate starts)
Tips:
Bring water — the ridge sections can be warm.
Counterclockwise offers a steeper start but easier finish.
