15 Resolutions for a Peaceful New Year
the Partiful team shares their new year's resolutions đ

No matter where you stand on resolutions, the new year is a good opportunity to sit down with yourself and ask âwhat would I like to change?â because complacency is the root of suffering and you are in control of your own destiny đ§ââïžđ„
We asked the Partiful team what their resolutions are for 2025 and the reasons behind them. Hereâs what they said, in no particular order:
Use fewer words: people tend to qualify their statements and it adds unnecessary context
Eat maximum 1 subway footlong per month: theyâre not even close to 5 dollars anymore
Consistently get to the office before 11:30AM: early bird gets the worm
Grow a plant from a seed: metaphorically and physically
Go on more serious dates: and figure out what I want out of dating
Stop saying yes to people I donât want to see: life is too short for surface-level relationships
Have a regular sleep schedule: (this was said by 3 diff team members)
Suck more: do things I suck at at least once a week, like roller blade, guitar, etc⊠exposure therapy to cure my fear of trying new things
Be more decisive: my gut is normally right and the back-and-forth that happens after is unnecessary
Cook every recipe in a cook book: rather than remaking the same 3 I gravitate towards
Buy fewer things: waiting a few days before buying to better differentiate between what I want from what I need
Overshare less: I value my vulnerability, but not every convo needs a miniature traumadump
Stop caring about toxic ex-friendships: the urge to explain why I ducked out of a friendship rarely goes well. I need to protect my peace and not put any energy into wondering if I should clear the air so there aren't awkward interactions at parties down the road.
Give myself more time in between plans: so Iâm not running everywhere in 2025
Plan more of my friendâs birthdays: because itâs stressful for them but easy for me
It looks like the team will be setting healthy boundaries and getting lots of sleep in 2025 đ Letâs see how long that lasts.
Have a friendâs birthday coming up? Youâd better get to planningâŠ
