The East Bay Permaculture Guild has partnered with the Oakland Peace Center Gardens, community-ran edible+medicinal garden projects housed around the Peace Center. They share fresh food with OPC neighbors, Wood St. Commons, and organizations serving unhoused community members.
This meeting hopes to bring together folks who are interested in planning and visioning for the garden. Come bring your passion and vision for community food production, find out more about what we are doing at OPC, and get more involved!
On the agenda:
- Planning workdays - volunteer roles
- Garden Projects - erosion control
- Garden planning - seasonal crop rotations, winter preparation, structures and perennial plantings
- Habitat creation
Have something you would like to add to the agenda? Let us know!
We're aiming for 5-8 core garden committee members, 3-5 experienced gardeners/project leads and other volunteers to assist with tasks on workdays.
Whether you're an experienced gardener or a total beginner, we need you!

This garden is rooted in a 2.5-year vision: an edible, medicinal, community-tended space for all who call OPC home.🏡
