Join us on Wednesday, June 17th at 6:30 PM for an artist talk with photographer, curator, filmmaker and scholar C. Daniel Dawson as he discusses The Bumba-Meu-Boi Photography Project, currently on view at BXposure.
Started in 1999 and rooted in decades of engagement with Brazilian culture, The Bumba-Meu-Boi Photography Project documents one of Brazil’s most vibrant and enduring popular traditions. The exhibition features photographs drawn from a body of work that began in the 1980s and has been exhibited internationally, including at the Brazilian Endowment for the Arts in New York City.
