About the Workshop:
Inspired by the Marina Abramovič Performance Method, Ohad Naharin's Gaga Movement Dance and the concept of nomad space, this workshop explores the balance ofinner energies and yin-yang dynamics through the five elements of nature in Chinese Daoist philosophy (wood, fire, earth, metal, water) and the Shamanic Qi. Following the rites de passage framework, participants move through a pre-liminal phase of contact energy cleansing, a liminal phase of the guided 5-element of nature movement, and a post-liminal phase of reflective meditation. The workshop will include exercises for sensory exploration in both group and partner settings, with moment of complete darkness.
This workshop has been presented at venues such as the Synchronicity conference organized by the Brooklyn Psychedelic Society, Ponderosa Movement Retreat Centre in Germany, the Philosophical Research Society in Los Angeles, and multiple ecstatic dance events in London. Offered voluntarily in mental health rehabilitation groups in Los Angeles, it has demonstrated profound benefits in fostering emotional regulation, self-awareness, and community connection.
