Join us for a bi-weekly Eastside Contact Improvisation (CI) class + jam designed for beginners and seasoned movers alike. This is a welcoming space for all bodies and all levels.
This week Aria Vesper will lead a class that explores Contact Improvisation through the lense of intimacy and expression. She draws inspiration from Mihyun Lee, whose CI teachings are heavily influenced by their background in Psychology and group therapy practices.
Contact Improvisation is a movement research practice focused on exploring physics, gravity, and listening through dance in contact with others and with the floor. The intention of this jam is to create a focused and accessible space to practice contact improvisation and deepen our research together. We will begin with a 1 hour open levels class and then open into a jam. No previous experience is required to attend, but please read our guidelines upon arrival: https://bit.ly/3TFlK8W
