˜▾˜On March 5th, 2023, I and a few other probably silly people like me stood in the drizzling rain on Embarcadero for hours to watch the Bay Bridge lights shine one last time before they were turned off, with no return date in sight.
Now 3 years later, they're coming back, officially on 3/20! With double the LED lights! It feels symbolic to welcome back the light in such dark and confusing times.
Nothing would make me happier than to be on Embarcadero with my friends, with blankets and warm drinks, enjoying the Bay Bridge light up again. Plus, the European in me has a soft spot for gathering in city plazas. 🏙️ Join me and invite your good friends. Would love to see a sea of friends take over Embarcadero and celebrate the return of such an iconic piece of our beautiful city's skyline! (Come for the love of art and for the friends, please no pitching and networking.)
PS: Feels fitting that Alex’s and my podcast on power & negotiations, Gentle Power (GentlePowerPodcast.com), turns 1 year old that week. There's a metaphor in there somewhere about power and illumination. We'll have a light bulb-shaped cake, come early if you want a slice. 🎙️🎂💡
