Local Queer Comal River Meet Up

◔◟◔Meet us at the Comal for our annual river trip! We will be meeting up as a group at the river. After the float, we'll have a picnic lunch in Prince Solms Park.

Local Queer has a few tubes to rent for $10. Email us at hello@localqueer.org to claim.

Know Before You Go:
NO SINGLE USE PLASTIC AT ALL ON THE RIVER. You must bring all drinks in a reusable bottle/cup AND all snacks in reusable containers. The fine is HEFTY if you are caught with single use garbage on the river (they can check).
BRING A COOLER FOR YOUR CAR. Plan to leave your lunch and any additional snacks/drinks in your car - bring a cooler to leave in it.
LOOK FOR OUR FLAG. The parking lot is a big circle with lots of green space. We will either be by our trucks or in a green space visible for everyone.
WE’LL BE ON SCHEDULE. If you’re late, you might be able to catch the group floating. The river takes 1.5-2.5ish hours to float depending on flow, lunch could move.
WALKING: From parking lot to river entrance (0.1ish mile) From river exit to cars (0.5 mile ~ 10 mins)
TUBES: If you need a tube, you should arrive at least 30 mins early to rent from nearby. We have limited if you did not email us. If you’re bringing your own arrive early to blow it up, we will have limited blowers.
THINGS YOU MIGHT WANT: Water shoes, sunscreen, hat/sunglasses, food & drinks, a rope or something to tie your tube to your friends, towel, dry bag.
