Far from Home is an Oscar-qualified short about Afghan refugees in India. It's the story of Samira Faizi, who escaped Afghanistan in 2021 to come to India. She is now grappling with the possibility of being stuck forever, as violence against Muslims rises in India.
Event will be followed by a reception and Q&A with the director, Ankita M. Kumar and producer, Brent E. Huffman. The event is moderated by Ben Alvarez, the US correspondent of Deutsche Welle (DW).
