The New Works Series is proud to present the staged reading of four plays by Ramón Guzman, directed by Isaac Byrne.
Ramón is a playwright and actor from pre-gentrified Brooklyn, who received his BFA in Acting/ Musical Theater from Marymount Manhattan College. He also studied abroad for a summer in Oxford at The British American Drama Academy. Ramón has received awards for his writing at the New York Theater Festival where he won Best Short Play for Confessions of a Niggah in Distress. He is also a recipient of the Jeremy O. Harris Pet Project Grant. In addition to that, Ramón has also been a Theater Educator for 6 years, predominantly in Harlem and Queens.
