DANCE + DRAW

❛ᴗ❛Dance & Draw is a container for dancers and visual artists to connect and create. The activity will be an open improvisation jam for dancers and an opportunity for visual artists to draw moving bodies! It will begin with a guided somatic meditation and warmup, which all artists will be invited to do. After that, artists will be invited to sit along the perimeter of the space and engage in introductions. Following that there will be 10-15 prompts shared (1 per song) where dancers will enter or exit the space as they choose and artists can draw the dancers. The session will end with a closing conversation to reflect on the experience and a 20-minute social for micro conversations!
This workshop is presented and supported as part of East End Arts' ArtLabs 2026 program.
ArtLabs sessions are independently run by emerging artists looking to practice their facilitation and/or event planning skills.
