Animamus Art Salon, the artist-led curatorial platform founded by Ventiko in New York City in 2011, will present a three-day exhibition at Not There Gallery in Los Angeles from May 15 to 17, 2026, co-curated by Ventiko and Eli Rubinson. The program brings together artists from the Animamus community for an exhibition of visual art and live performance, opening with a reception on May 15 and closing with a salon dinner on May 17.
Now in its fifteenth year, Animamus Art Salon has staged exhibitions, performances, lectures, salons and residencies across New York, London, Indianapolis, and Los Angeles. The platform builds artist-led contexts for new work to debut outside conventional institutional structures, treating the act of gathering as part of artistic practice. At Not There Gallery, that ethos takes form through an exhibition that places individual works within a broader social and artistic context, foregrounding the relationships, dialogues, and creative networks that sustain contemporary practice.
