Olivier Zitoun's paintings are a form of correspondence, an exchange that takes place through gesture, texture, and the rhythm of paint. His father, a well-known Tunisian painter, found his voice when he moved to Paris in the 1960s, channeling displacement and discovery into abstraction. Decades later, Olivier’s own move to the United States seemed to reopen that wound and that freedom. The distance between them became the very space that brought them together.
