Things To Bring
🌹 Coming Up Roses Retreat 🌹 A sacred, silly, soul-nourishing weekend in the wild Coming Up Roses is a one-of-a-kind retreat experience nestled less than two hours outside of Portland, Oregon, on the stunning Justesen Ranch in Tygh Valley. The land sits among rolling hills, giant weeping willow trees, and wide-open skies -the kind of place where your nervous system instantly exhales. There is plenty of space to tent camp or pull up a camper, plus optional limited indoor accommodations upon request. We’re surrounded by nature in every direction: • A massive organic vegetable garden (yes, we’ll play in the dirt) • A nearby river for cold plunges • Endless hiking trails and wildlife sightings • A beach close by for sunset strolls Simply being on this land is deeply restorative. The lovely property owner who so graciously extends her hospitality and space to us, Amanda Justesen, a dear friend of mine, will be participating as well -so we ask everyone to treat this space with the utmost respect — we are guests in her sacred home. •Full bathrooms and showers ( even a heated bidet, excuse me?!?!) •House has all of the amenities Group meals and gatherings will take place inside the gorgeous red barn -rustic, warm, and full of magic. You’ll be fed three organic meals a day, lovingly cooked by yours truly, Megan Gazzo. 🌹 Why the Rose? The rose isn’t just a symbol -it’s medicine. Roses are known to hold the highest vibrational frequency of all plants and flowers ( 320 hz) compared to us humans who clock in at (5-20 hz. The energy of a rose is deeply heart-opening, soothing, and expansive. Being around roses can literally help raise your frequency -emotionally, energetically, and spiritually. That’s why people say: “Wake up and smell the roses.” It’s not just poetic -it’s a reminder to slow down, soften, and let beauty recalibrate your nervous system. And less us not forget Portland is the City of Roses! That’s where Coming Up Roses comes from. It’s about rising. Blooming. Choosing softness after hardship. Letting yourself open again -even after pain. And despite holding softness, honoring the thorn as your boundaries . This retreat is an invitation to come back into your body, your heart, and your joy. To alchemize grief into beauty. To remember that even after the hardest seasons… life can still come up roses. We are living in a wild , wild world right now. I think I can safely say the majority of us, whether we are tapped into current affairs or not, can feel the trauma of the world -on top of all the challenges we inevitably face in our daily life. Our biggest revolution is to join together in community , to heal and remember together , we have more than enough when we have each other . 🌹 What makes Coming Up Roses different? This isn’t your typical deeply serious retreat. Coming Up Roses is built on the belief that humor is sacred. Yes — we do the deep work: • Breathwork • Somatic laughter • Grief release • Emotional alchemy But then… we put wings on it with comedy, performance art, music, and playful self-expression. Our philosophy: We dig up the grief… the heavy stuff- and then we alchemize it with laughter because laughter is one of our most powerful tools for turning pain into beauty. 🌹 This year’s vibe If you came last year, you know it was magical but a lil’ jam-packed. This time, we’re slowing it down. Come laugh your ass off. Come cry. Come root into the earth. Leave restored. With new buds. Come… Up Roses. 🌹
