*⏖*Join us on the official “Dolly Parton Day” to celebrate the life of Dolly Parton with music, butterflies, rhinestones, and a community singalong.
Big hair, rhinestones, butterflies, and plenty of music will fill Darcelle XV Plaza, as Portland comes together for a joyful celebration of the life and legacy of Dolly Parton.
Inspired by last week’s proclamation from the City of Portland recognizing September 25th (Nine-to-Five) as Dolly Parton Day, the Visit Downtown Campaign is teaming up with local performers. Inviting Portlanders (you!!) to gather at 5pm at Darcelle XV Plaza.
Leading the celebration will be Cooper Hays from Madam Cooper’s Parlor and her band: Cooper and Her Daddy Issues. Along with special guests Poison Waters and Storm Large.
And because no celebration of Dolly should be short on sparkle, attendees are encouraged to dress up as butterflies and wear lots of rhinestones.
The celebration will end with a community singalong.
