Join us for the inaugural edition of Salon: An Art & Fashion Book Club! Our first book will be The Beautiful Fall: Fashion, Genius, and Glorious Excess in 1970s Paris by Alicia Drake. It's a comprehensive biography of the late designer, Karl Lagerfeld, and his infamous rivalry with Yves Saint Laurent. Every month, we'll gather and discuss some of the best nonfiction books covering art and fashion and discover notable moments throughout the history of fashion. Marmalade in Brooklyn will provide the cozy, salon vibe, and we'll have the types of French wine on hand that we might've found Yves Saint Laurent sipping at Cafe de Fleur in the seventies.
