Kosher Pescatarian
You are warmly invited to the December Brooklyn Trans Shabbos dinner! This is an inclusive kosher event for and by transgender/gender questioning Jews! The organizer is a pluralistic Chassidic trans woman. Attendees do not need to be Shabbos observant or religious to attend. Each person is free to determine the level of participation in the ritual aspects of the night that feel comfortable for them. Dinner will be Kosher, with a fish main course. Most other dishes will be vegan, with red wine and mashke (liquor) available to those who wish to drink. Following the meal join us in singing Nigunim (songs) and discussing the Torah parsha. We are a COVID-conscious event. Please take a rapid COVID test on before you attend, and only come if you have a negative result and no symptoms. We will have tests on-site in case anyone forgets. Accessibility information: - The apartment is on the 2nd floor with no Elevator unfortunately - There is a cat in the apartment - Dietary restrictions can often be accommodated - just list them in your reservation - There is a bedroom available as a sensory-recovery space - Please list any other accommodation concerns in your reservation and we will be in touch to work something out - Due to kashrus and allergen concerns, we kindly ask that guests do not bring outside food. Kosher Mevushal wine is always welcome, however!
