Calycosa launch + Qur’an’s Birthday Celebration
After months and months of research and deep thinking we finally have a name! 🤩
“Calycosa,” rooted in ancient Greek, captures the essence of a native California flower (Gentiana Calycosa), highlighting its chalice-like shape. The term “calyx” refers to the outermost whorl of a flower, typically composed of sepals that safeguard the flower bud prior to its bloom. It’s a California thing! 🌷❤️
This coming Thursday August 21 we’ll be celebrating Qur’an’s birthday at The Let’s Go Disco in the Arts District launching the new name and playing two sets of completely improvised music feat. Salenta, Aankha & Tommaso with DJ sets by Addae
8-11pm NO COVER in collaboration with Peroni USA
