A birthday music celebration created by Colorado musician Wes Watkins, The Wes-Tival is a full-day festival featuring Wes Watkins’ 14-person ensemble, and performers from across the front range and beyond.
The mission is simple:
Bring people together through music — and keep the event free.
Who is Wes Watkins?
Wes Watkins is a Colorado musician, composer, and bandleader known for his work across soul, funk, hip-hop, and large ensemble arranging. A 25+ year multi-instrumentalist (vocals, trumpet, piano), Wes leads multiple projects with his Wes Watkins Ensembles, and has collaborated with artists such as Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Wheelchair Sports Camp, iZcalli, and many others. His work centers community, creativity, and accessible music experiences — the heart of what became the annual Wes-tival.
