Join us for Waves of Color’s June Virtual Community Meet-Up! When? Tues, June 30th from 6 to 7 pm PT! Where? Virtual! Link to join will be sent via Partiful Cost to join: Free! In this session, we will share our “Pre-Surf Session Checklist.” This resource is designed as an easy-to-follow checklist to help surfers build smart habits before entering the water, improve ocean awareness, identifying hazards, and make safer decisions around waves, weather, currents, and surf conditions. Everyoen thay attends will receive a copy of the “Pre-Surf Session Checklist” Use this resource as: -Surf session readiness checklist -Ocean conditions & hazard awareness checklist -Coaching & group safety planning checklist This event welcomes ALL WOMEN & non-binary people who are comfortable in a space centered on women's experiences. You must be 18 years or older to attend. About Us: Waves of Color's mission is to support the next generation of women to become surf leaders, coaches, mentors, and competitors 🌸🏄🏻‍♀️ We offer scholarships for surf coaching certifications, competition grants, surf and ocean safety education, and opportunities for surf skill development. 50% of our scholarships directly support women of color.
