sketchxla presents: postcards from summer, an art + social mixer ✨ hosted by adrienne • @currantly on instagram making new friends as an adult in LA can feel…. womp womp. what better way to try than to attend an event curated to facilitate engagement between you and a stranger who may actually become your next bestie (or, even just another human being to interact with cuz its just cool to meet someone new ) ?!!? as summer is coming to an end, we will be doodlin postcards to commemorate any adventures/memories (fun or otherwise) we had over the summer 🌞🌊 postcard cardstock will be provided, along with a limited amount of art supplies to borrow 🎨 💌what to expect: • introductions + community agreements • instructions: - split into groups of 2-4. everyone will receive guided conversation questions - as y’all are yapping, you can either draw postcards for yourselves to commemorate your own summer, or create a postcard for each other! • groups will break out to meet new people after ~10-15 minutes • towards the end of the event, we’ll do a share-out of our art / introductions of any friends we made/ things we learned about each other! event details: 📍 location: valley village park meet* @ the picnic tables. https://maps.app.goo.gl/i3SozQ6HECXeqQ9s6?g_st=ic 5000 Westpark Dr North Hollywood, CA 91601 United States *may change to a different area of the park the tables are unavailable. bring picnic blankies/comfy seating in case! 🚨 please rsvp here if you plan to attend. text updates will be sent day of to assist with finding the meeting location, any changes, etc. this event is FREE to attend! 🚙 free street parking 🚻bathrooms onsite 🥾this is an outdoor event. expect sunshine, critters, and grassy / dirt terrain, but there are also some paved areas to access where we will be settled 🐜 bring your own art supplies, sketchbooks, snacks, picnic blankets, maybe even a friend!?! ☎️ need to be in contact? dm @currantly on instragram (not @sketchxla - i don’t monitor that account!) ‼️ no meanies. no haters. ‼️
