Join TPUSA Communities at the Lincoln Memorial as we honor the life, legacy, and impact of Charlie Kirk.
Stand for Charlie and stand for FREEDOM!
Unfortunately, due to some complications, we will not have FREEDOM shirts, but please feel free to wear any TPUSA merch or general patriotic merch.
Here is the info for how the memorial will operate:
Firstly, we will be meeting at the Lincoln Memorial, and walking to the Washington Monument, so I recommend wearing comfortable shoes. The order of operations will go as follows:
• Meet at the Lincoln Memorial, where we will pass out candles (plastic candles not real ones), and then get a group picture on some of the bottom steps of the memorial.
• We will walk to the Prayer For The Nation Memorial, which is just off to the side of the WW2 Memorial, and gather in and around that. We will have someone lead us in prayer before continuing.
• We will then walk to the Washington Monument, where we will gather on the side facing the Capitol Building, and sing a hymn for worship (we will provide the lyrics via a text blast or two). We will have to cross a street to get over to the Monument, so just be aware when crossing the road and keeping up with the group.
• After this, we will gather on the grassy area facing the Lincoln Memorial, which slopes down from the Washington monument, and we will get another group picture.
• We will then walk back to the Lincoln Memorial on the other side of the Reflecting Pool (The Korean Memorial side).
To make this around an hour time frame to respect everyone’s time, and in general make this go as efficiently as we can, please try your best to keep up with the group, and cooperate when getting pictures, praying, and worshiping. Also feel free to pray while we are walking. If you are also able to get other people to worship while walking, feel free to start singing praise to God. Everyone is free to interact with eachother on the walk as well, just be aware when we have to do stuff as a group on our stops.
*We will also have a film crew present throughout the memorial to capture the vigil, so please be aware that you may be photographed or recorded during the event.*
