"Movies are our way of telling God what we think about this world and our place in it." - Josh Larsen Join us as we celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and gather to watch the critically acclaimed film Blue Bayou for our next Cinema Church night. The film tells a deeply human story about identity, family, belonging, and the immigrant experience in America. Through powerful storytelling and intimate performances, Blue Bayou invites us to reflect on themes of home, dignity, sacrifice, and what it means to truly belong. Following the screening, we’ll be joined by one of the film’s co-producers for a special Q&A conversation and audience discussion. This will be a unique opportunity to hear behind-the-scenes insight into the making of the film, the heart behind its story, and the broader conversations it continues to spark within Asian American communities and beyond. Whether you love film, want to engage meaningful cultural conversations, or are simply looking for a thoughtful night in community, we’d love for you to join us. Doors will open at 6:30PM and the film will begin promptly at 7pm at the Blue House. Popcorn and sparkling water will be provided. Feel free to bring food/snacks/drinks to share! 🍬🍭🍫🍕🥟🥜🥤
