AI has already reshaped software, support and knowledge work. Manufacturing is harder. Factory operations run on physical processes, fragmented data, thirty-year-old equipment, real-time decisions, and decades of tribal knowledge that has never existed in a form a model can read. Most shop-floor AI deployments stall for reasons that have nothing to do with the model. This panel is about what actually works. Founders who have put AI into live production environments, and the capital backing them, on where the technology delivers, where it breaks, and what has to be true before a factory can use it at all. What we'll cover • Where AI is in production on the factory floor today, and where it's still a demo • The data problem: why factory data breaks the assumptions most AI products are built on • Robotics and autonomy in high-mix, low-volume production • What defense demand and reshoring pressure are doing to build timelines • How capital is underwriting factories that don't look like factories Speakers Opening Remarks — Neel Lilani, Global Head – Technology Clients, Orrick Panel Moderator — Trevor Burns, Head of SRI for Defense and Aerospace, J.P. Morgan Jim Belosic — Founder and CEO, SendCutSend David Caputo — Co-Founder and CEO, Harmoni Jai Malik — Co-Founder and CEO, Amca West Owens — CFO, Hadrian Who should attend Founders and operators in manufacturing, robotics and defense technology. Investors in industrials and defense tech. Corp dev and strategy teams at aerospace and industrial primes. Engineers and PMs building AI for the physical world. Agenda 4:30 PM — Check-In & Networking 5:15 PM — Opening Remarks & Panel 6:15 PM — Audience Q&A 6:30 PM — Networking This event is a part of #LATechWeek—a week of events hosted by VCs and startups to bring together the tech ecosystem.
