*⏖*2025 gave us MUCH to grieve. You are regretfully invited to turn your tears, fears, and rage into song on Friday Jan 30th at Gallery Wrightwood at our second annual SAD KARAOKE🖤! Linden the Wizard & Casey of Gallery Wrightwood are hosting the night, and this year it is a FUNDRAISER for South Loop Community Table!! A $15 donation is suggested at the door and the concession stand will raise funds to feed neighbors in need through SLCT!
We invite all of your sadness, anger and all other dark emotional responses to the shit show that was 2025 to come out in your performance of YouTube Karaoke! Props, choreography, costumes, and camp are encouraged. You are absolutely still welcome to attend if you’re not interested in performing, we anticipate a stunning show 😢
Doors open at 7:30, sign up for the karaoke queue will begin at 7:40 in person, and the night will start at 8p.
South Loop Community Table is a weekly dinner party with people experiencing food and housing insecurity. We partner closely with St Lukes and Urban Village Church and are one of three sites operated by Care for Friends, a 501(c)3 nonprofit. With cuts to SNAP going into effect, they are expecting a significant increase in need in 2026 making their work more important than ever!
Gallery Wrightwood is an anti-capitalist, artist-led community project inside a 100-year-old church building that hosts art shows, workshops, and gatherings. We're focused on making art accessible and interesting to all and to show human-made artworks that specifically speak to urgent social issues. We are supported by St Luke’s Lutheran Church of Logan Square, but produce non-faith based programming centered on values of community building and care.
