Flowtopia Presents... Our potluck jams with a twist! This is a glow jam in Central Park. We will begin at 6p with our potluck and go until after dark! Flowtopia NYC will be filming for a potential Flowtoys contest; the bulk of our filming will be done around dusk for good quality video! Read on below for what to bring, ways to get there, and contact info! Date: Wednesday June 10th 6p to after dark Rain date: June 11th, same time same place Bring your juggling props, bring your flow toys! Please bring a dish or drinks to share for the potluck if you are able to. Please post in the comments what you are bringing so nobody doubles up! :) We will also be planning for our participation in the 2026 Mermaid Parade and Pride March! If you'd like to bring materials to work on your costumes for either event, please feel free to do so. There will be plenty of space. **LOCALE:** We will meet at the same locale as last time near Sheep Meadow NW corner, in the shade. We will be on the west side of the park near West Drive (cross streets are 66th - 69 St for Sheep Meadow). This is near Tavern on the Green. After the sun sets when the lawn closes, we will move outside of the Sheep Meadow fenceline still in the NW. (We will post an exact GPS location photo in the comment thread on the day of the event!) **Pack it in, pack it out. This is a LEAVE NO TRACE event! Be prepared to dispose of your trash and take all other items with you! Together we can keep our parks beautiful. 🌱🩷** **Things to bring:** 🍉 your props! (Hula hoops, juggling props, contact and dragon staffs, fans, diabolo, 8-rings, bring whatever is clever!) 🍉 There will be no extra LED props available to use - please ensure yours are charged and ready to glow! 🍉 food or drinks for the potluck! 🍉 a cup or vessel, plate, bowl, utensils, etc for your personal use. (Note: There will be napkins available and some plastic disposable utensils.) 🍉 blankets / yoga mat to sit on 🍉 water to keep hydrated! 🍉 extra batteries for your props if they take L-ions 🍉 If you have a mobility aid, please bring it! 🍉 jacket for when the sun goes down 🍉 We will be filming for a potential Flowtoys grant. If you do NOT want to be filmed with your LED props, please let us know. Flowtopia is an all inclusive group. All skill levels are welcome, from beginner to advanced! We can’t wait to skill share with you! This event is free and open to all. Instagram: @flowtopianyc **Public Transport Information** 🚇 Via train: This location is closest to the 72nd St subway stop, which is serviced directly by the B and C lines. You can take the 1 train to Lincoln Center and walk from there or the 1 to Columbus Circle and transfer to the Uptown B/C local lines. If you are coming from Harlem or Washington Heights, take the B or C downtown to 72nd. If you are coming from Brooklyn via the L train, either transfer at 14th to an Uptown bound C train or take the A express to 59th and walk from there. (Transfers to the local C and 1 are available from Columbus Circle as well.) 🚌 Via bus: The M72 bus is available. It is best to exit the bus at the Central Park West & 72nd St or 69th St stops and head to NW Sheep Meadow from there. Please check Citymapper or Google maps for accurate day of travel information.
