What happens when a founder's carefully rehearsed pitch meets an investor, an operator and someone who has no patience for startup jargon? Pitch Roast puts emerging founders in the hot seat for a fast, constructive and highly entertaining test of whether their story actually makes sense. Founders get 90 seconds to pitch before receiving feedback from investors, experienced builders and creative voices — then return for a 30-second redemption pitch. Hosted by 18VC and Newgen Venture Partners, it's part startup showcase, part live show and part founder education, followed by a mixer connecting LA's next generation of entrepreneurs. This event is a part of #LATechWeek—a week of events hosted by VCs and startups to bring together the tech ecosystem. Learn more at www.tech-week.com.
