Is awe something that happens to you — or something you can cultivate?
Downtown Dharma DC has arranged a private workshop at the National Gallery of Art — part of the gallery's research-backed Finding Awe series, developed in partnership with UC Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center.
We'll spend 90 minutes with a single Georgia O'Keeffe work — lingering with it, rather than moving on. Through contemplative slow looking, lively conversation, and creative exercises, this is mindfulness practice off the cushion.
All you need is an open mind and a willingness to look slowly. Chairs and materials will be provided.
The workshop is free and exclusively for our friends of our sangha. Space is limited to 30 — register early.
