#A16Z #Techweek #AI
AI agents that use computers like humans are here. What does that mean for how we work and live? Join us during NYC Tech Week for an intimate panel with Ang Li (co-founder of Simular, ex-DeepMind), Christopher Fong (founder of the Google alumni network Xoogler), and a special guest investor. Expect sharp insights, real conversation, and networking with the right people in the room.
6:30pm founder demos
7-7:30pm panel discussion
7:30pm on networking
We’re fortunate to have one of the world’s leading AI innovators — Ang Li, PhD — joining us for this exclusive evening. Ang is the CEO and co-founder of Simular, the autonomous computer company, and his work spans the frontier of artificial intelligence: autonomous driving, lifelong autonomous agents, video intelligence, computer vision, mapping systems, and AI-powered advertising.
Over his career, Ang has held research and engineering roles at some of the most influential AI organizations in the world — Google DeepMind, Baidu Apollo, Facebook AI Research, the Carnegie Mellon Robotics Institute, Apple, Google Street View, and Comcast Labs DC. He holds a PhD in Computer Science, with research focused on spatial perception through visual and linguistic information — pioneering work at the intersection of AI, robotics, and human-machine understanding.
At Simular, that research has become product. Simular’s agent was the first in the world to surpass human-level performance on OSWorld , the leading benchmark for AI that operates real computers — and the company is backed by $21.5M led by Felicis, with participation from NVIDIA’s NVentures and Basis Set Ventures .
And you’ll see it live. Watch Sai (https://sai.work/) — one of the world’s most advanced AI assistants — do real work on a real computer, right in front of you. Unlike chatbots that just hand you answers, Sai operates your computer: browsing the web, filling out forms, creating files, sending emails, and completing multi-step tasks from start to finish. It’s like having an executive assistant who never sleeps, never forgets, and works at the speed of light.
No slides. No buzzwords. Just AI doing actual work.
🔍 Find You a Job — Sai searches openings, matches your skills, tailors your resume, and drafts applications, in minutes
💰 Raise Capital — Sai identifies the right investors, pulls their contact info, drafts personalized outreach, and builds your pipeline
📊 Prepare Any Report — name a topic (market analysis, competitive research, financial modeling) and Sai researches, writes, and delivers a polished document
And much more…
